Linda Kay Sink, age 67 of Lexington died Friday afternoon March 11, 2016 at Alston Brook Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 14, 2016 at the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Revs. Bill O’Neal and Elizabeth Horton officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 am prior to the service. Linda was born in Davidson County October 22, 1948 to Paul Franklin Sink and Margaret Bunce Sink. She was a member of Calvary Family Worship Center. Linda studied and practiced as a veterinary nurse for eighteen years, seventeen of those at Piedmont Animal Hospital. At forty-years-old she returned to study nursing receiving her RN. She worked two years at Lexington Memorial Hospital, served seventeen years as a Hospice nurse and eventually retired from part-time employment as a Bayada Nurse. She was preceded in death by her parents and a niece, Lori Lopp Floyd. Surviving are her sister, Paula Sink Lopp and husband Clifford; brother, Danny L. Sink and wife Susie; nephew, Lee Sink and nieces, Tiffany Sink Yancey and husband Robert, Keri Lopp Hartle and husband Casey, Ashlee Lopp Snider and McCall Sink Tanner and husband Daniel; great-nephews, Robbie Yancey, Cody Yancey and Jacob Hartle and great nieces, Carlee Yancey, Lily Yancey, Emma Hartle and McKinley Tanner.
