Linda Kaye Temple Coppley, 84, passed away Thursday, October 1st, 2026. She was born in Lexington, NC to George Allen Temple and Berniece Brady Temple on December, 3rd, 1941. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October, 8th, at 3:00 PM at First Alliance Church in Lexington, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Coppley, a son Jeffery (Jeph) Coppley, sister Sharon Shoaf, brothers Allen Temple of Lexington, NC, Bob Temple and sister-in-law Aliced Temple of Murphy, NC. Surviving are her son Terry Lee Coppley (Tiffany) of Concord, CA, daughter-in-law Dana Coppley Ball, brother Steve Temple (Carolyn) of Lexington, grandchildren Andrew Coppley of Lexington, Joshua Coppley and LeeAnn Coppley of Concord, CA, brother-in-law Larry Shoaf (Jennifer) and sister-in-law Faye Temple of Lexington, brother-in-laws Ben Coppley (Sue) of Cincinnati, OH and Jack Coppley (Ellen) of Chevy Chase, MD, and several nieces and nephews.
Linda was a homemaker and marketing technician. She was a member of First Alliance Church, where she served as a deaconess and in the children's department. She enjoyed making cakes, camping and hiking with friends and family. Over the years, she lived in South Carolina, Texas, and California before returning back to North Carolina. Over the years she traveled to all 50 states by car.
