Linda Gail Koehn

May 9, 1949 — April 26, 2023

Linda Gail Koehn was born on May 9, 1949, and left this earth for her eternal home on April 26, 2023.

She is the daughter of the late Gene R. and Betty Koehn of Winston-Salem, NC. She is also preceded in death by her beloved sons, Jimmy Doty and Kevin Doty, her brother and sister-in-law, Terry “Buck” (Rhoda) Koehn as well as her maternal grandparents, Rev. David and Mabel Easter. Linda Gail is the mother of Allan (Wanda) Doty and Wendy (Richie) Helsabeck, the grandmother of nine: Carson Robbins, Tiffany Contreras, David Allan Doty Jr., Ricky Doty, Haley Shinault, Kristin Keesee, Amanda McMillian, Katlyn Farley, and Angie Doty. Linda Gail has 13 great-grandchildren.

Linda Gail came to know her Lord and Savior later in life. She loved her church family and often shared what a blessing it was to hear God’s Word proclaimed and worship with her Christian friends. She loved her neighbors who cared for her, as she also cared for them, especially her friend Betty Nobles. Linda Gail often read her Bible with her good friend Steven Cole, and she enjoyed the sweet friendship of Connie Gaddy as well as the companionship of her little dog Geico.

Linda Gail lived a simple life and seemed to be content with having just enough of what the good Lord provided for her. She knew that this world was not her home. In recent years her health continued to decline, but now Linda Gail has a new heavenly body and is experiencing the joy of heaven and being held in the arms of Jesus.

Linda Gail loved the King James version of the Bible, so these verses are for reflection:

John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 14:6

Jesus saith unto him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Romans 10:9

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Psalm 18:2

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer: my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at 2 pm, located at Walter Grove Baptist Church, 2610 Cid Road, Lexington, NC 27292. Pastor Chris Simpson will officiate.
