Linda Lemly

Linda Lemly, 61, of Old U.S. Highway 64 West, died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Lexington Memorial Hospital after a period of declining health. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Frankie Matthews. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Lemly was born July 4, 1945, in Davidson County to Claude E. Lemly and Mildred Wrenn Lemly. She was a former teacher at Union Grove Baptist Christian School and Fayetteville Street Baptist Christian School in Asheboro. She graduated from Piedmont Bible School and Western Carolina University. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Peggy Lemly King. Surviving are her mother of Lexington; a brother, Calvin Lemly and his wife, Vicki, of Lexington; and a sister, Marian Comer and her husband, Roger. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. before the service. Memorials may be directed to Sheets Memorial Baptist Church, 210 Cotton Grove Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
