Linda Sue Owens

Linda Sue Owens, 68, of Davidson County, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Abbotts Creek Center.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, with Rev. McGee officiating.

Sue was born on June 28, 1956, in Davidson County, to the late Jack Mathis Byerly Sr. and Doris Mae Duffy Byerly. She is remembered by friends and family for her big heart that was always open to anyone.

Sue’s greatest joy in her life was her family. Her favorite way to spend time was with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, who all knew that she was the safe place to lay their heads.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by daughter, Brenda Wilkey; stepdaughters, Joyce Amaya and Angie Combs; and brother, Jack Byerly Jr.

Left to carry on her love is her daughter, Patricia Ayars and husband, Brian of Lexington; sisters, Maggie Nalley of Lexington, Shirley Scates, of Lexington, and Patricia Waller of Lexington; twelve grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.

Her light and compassion will resonate within everyone who knew her.
