Linda Owensby

Linda Faye Horton Owensby, 71, of Lexington passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at the Hinkle Hospice House.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, May 20, 2022, in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Pastor Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm until 2 pm prior to the service.

Mrs. Owensby was born on June 1, 1950, in Davie County to William Harrison Horton and Frances Irene Stephenson Ball. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Roger Norman; and three brothers, Buck Horton, Mike Horton, and Randy Horton.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, William “Charles” Owensby; her sons, Wayne Owensby (Beverly), Eddie Brindle, and Tim Owensby (Miranda); her daughters, Teresa Wilson, Donna Hayes (Paul), Brenda Wilson, and Wendy Brindle (Tim); her sisters, Judy James  (Butch), Sandra Cross, and Serry Myers; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
