Linda Drawdy Pickett

Linda Drawdy Pickett, age 62, of Della Wilson Road, Lexington passed away Thursday (May 12, 2011) at her home. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday (May 15, 2011) at Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Cartrette officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Free will Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 pm Sunday at the church prior to the service and from Noon until 4:00 pm Saturday at the residence. Linda was born in Davidson County, July 9, 1948 to Murel Jack Drawdy and Betty Geraldine Leonard Drawdy. She was a former employee of Glosson Motor Freight and a member of Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Amanda Pickett Hill and Angela Michelle Pickett. Surviving are her son, Timothy Pickett of Lexington; four grandchildren, Julie Pickett, Steven Pickett, Allisha Hill and Cassie Hill; two step-grandchildren, Megan and Nash Allen; one sister, Kathy D. Leonard and husband Ronald of Lexington; and a friend of the family, Roger Dale Gathings. Memorials may be made, in her memory to Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church, 107 Arrington Drive, Lexington, NC 27295.
