Linda Gail Huffman Vest

Linda Gail Huffman Vest, 74, of Winston-Salem passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. A graveside service will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Westlawn Gardens of Memory, conducted by Pastor Eddie Brackett.

Ms. Vest was born May 16, 1948, in Forsyth County to Joseph Ray Huffman and Ethel Allen Huffman. She retired from Winston Salem Schools and was of the Baptist faith. Her parents, husband, William Charles Vest, and a son, Justin Todd Vest, preceded her in death. She was also preceded by brothers, Clyde Huffman and Bobby Huffman, and a sister, Mary Staples. Her favorite pastimes were spent working in her garden and yard, playing cards, and spending time with her kids and grandkids. She also loved to help people and travel

Surviving are her children, Brian Vest (Linda) and Sherri Utt (Jody). Grandchildren: William Vest, Evan Vest, Jerry Utt, Abbigail Utt, and Preston Vest. Her sisters: Joann Buchanan, Faye Beeson (Larry), and Shirley Wilson. A brother-in-law, Harvey Staples, and sisters-in-law, Alyce Huffman, and Kathleen Huffman. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses and CNAs at Forsyth Memorial Hospital 9-West for their loving care.
