Linda Cooper Yarbrough

Linda Cooper Yarbrough, 78, of Delta Street in Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.  Funeral services will be held at Lighthouse Baptist Church on Monday, June 18 at 2pm with Pastor Avery Varnadore officiating the service.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.  The family will visit with friends from 6-8pm on Sunday, June 17 at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.  Linda was born on May 15, 1940 in Davidson County to James Garfield Cooper and Ola Mae Justice Cooper.  She worked for 35 years as a loan officer for Industrial Federal.  Linda was a great cook and she always showed up with one of her delicious pound cakes.  She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.  Linda was preceded in death by her parents, son-in-law, Jim Cochell, and sisters, Virtle Welch and Elise Brown.  She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by everyone.  Surviving is her loving husband of 57 years, William Bruce Yarbrough; son, William ‘Bill’ Bruce Yarbrough, Jr.; daughters, Suzanne Rohrbaugh (Nevin) of Greensboro, NC;  Sandra Cochell of Charlotte, NC; brother, Steve Cooper (Diane) of Mobile, AL; 6 grandchildren, Allan Rohrbaugh (Wynter Mitchell, fiancé), Daniel Rohrbaugh (Laura), Eddie Cochell, Abbie Cochell, Kenneth Cochell, Lily Mae Cochell and 2 great-grandchildren, Aidan Rohrbaugh and Crosby Rohrbaugh.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, PO Box 89, Lexington, NC 27374.
