Lindsay Rae Aldridge

December 16, 1986 — February 1, 2014

Lindsay Rae Aldridge, 27, of Massachusetts Avenue NW, Washington, D.C., died Saturday, February 1, 2014, at her parent’s home on Silver Hill Road in Lexington after an extended illness. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Becks Lutheran Church, where she was a member, by Pastor Angie Jackson. Visitation will be after the service in the Becks Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall. Lindsay was born December 16, 1986 in Forsyth County to David William Aldridge and Linda Myers Aldridge. She attended Central Davidson High School and graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics. She graduated with distinction in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2009. She was awarded the degree of Juris Doctor with honors in 2012 by the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as an articles editor for the North Carolina Journal of Law and Technology. Lindsay was a member of the Virginia State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and an associate with the law firm of Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett, & Dunner, LLC in Washington, D.C. where her practice focused on patent litigation. Lindsay loved the companionship of friends and family, reading, travel, and cooking with her sister. Surviving in addition to the parents are a brother, Stuart William Aldridge and fiancé Meaghan Eileen Carney of Saratoga Springs, New York; a sister, Shelley Barrett Aldridge of Nashville, Tennessee; and many beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Memorials may be made to the Becks Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund, 441 Becks Church Road, Lexington, NC 27292.
