Lindsay Paul Lopp, 60, of Shoaf Street, died Sunday, January 27, 2008, at Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Durham.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington, by the Rev. Doug McGee, with military graveside rites at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Lopp was born August 1, 1947, in Davidson County to Buck Lopp and Hilda McCarn Lopp. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, and was a retired self employed pipe welder. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Bucksy Lopp.
Surviving are sons, Jonathan Paul Lopp of Lexington; daughters, Wendy Lopp Leonard and husband, Tim, and Lindsay Paula Lopp, all of Lexington; stepdaughter, Jessica Walser Scarlett and husband, Tim, of Mocksville; grandson, Josh Leonard of Lexington; brother, Bruce Lopp of Lexington; sister, Gloria Lopp Morrison and husband, Brady, of Lexington; and adopted pet, “James”.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of his children, 203 Shoaf Street.
