Lloyd Barry

June 10, 1961 — January 17, 2022

Lloyd Barry of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away, Monday, January 17, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. Lloyd was born in Paisley, Scotland on June 10, 1961.  He was the son of Thomas and Margaret Barry.  His parents moved to Groton, CT where the friends came to be family and reached out to him on an on-going basis during his difficult time.  Lloyd was a graduate of St. Bernard’s High School, where he was a member of the Audio/Visual club and graduated with honors.  After graduation he graduated from Mitchell College with an Associate degree in Business Administration.  Lloyd worked at Mohegan Sun Casino until he and his wife moved to North Carolina where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance and Risk Management from the University of North Carolina Charlotte.  Lloyd was a generous and selfless person who touched so many lives.  He always found time to take care of any of his friends and family in need.  Lloyd married the love of his life, Annette Davidson, October 17, 1998, and they were married 23 wonderful years.  Lloyd enjoyed traveling to Watkins Glen, New York with his father and best friend, Mark Beaulieu, for the Nascar race every year.  He also enjoyed frequenting various casinos to play Blackjack, win or lose.  Lloyd was an avid fan of golf, the beach and music.  He was devoted to his stepdaughter, Nicole Titley, and they had a very close and special relationship.  Lloyd is survived by his loving wife, Annette Barry, of Lexington, North Carolina; stepdaughter, Nicole Titley and her significant other, Clay Hatfield, of Kannapolis, North Carolina and sister, Lynne O’Brien, her husband, Richard, and son Thomas O’Brien of New Hampshire.  Lloyd will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be held in Groton, Connecticut in June.
