Lloyd David Tysinger

Lloyd David Tysinger, 92, of Lexington went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at his home.

A private funeral service will be held at the Lexington Church of God where he was a member, conducted by the Rev. Rodney Merrill. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Mr. Tysinger will lie in state on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Davidson Funeral Home from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Mr. Tysinger was born on November 23, 1927 in Rowan County to Manuel Dwight Tysinger and Ester Hodge Tysinger. He was retired from PPG and was a loving father and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Coble Tysinger; a son, David Eugene Tysinger; three brothers, Lester Tysinger, Dewey Tysinger and Willie Tysinger; three sisters, Trula Tysinger Ray, Virginia Tysinger Loflin and Ruby Tysinger Tucker; and a son-in-law, Gary Whitehead.

Surviving are his loving children, Tony Tysinger (Gina), Cecil Tysinger and Gayle Whitehead all of Lexington; six grandchildren, Jason Whitehead, Patrick Tysinger, Christy Akins, Brandon Tysinger, Brianna Whitehead and Drake Whitehead; and his great-grandchildren, Noah, Jacob, Ava, Gatlynn, Mazie, Maddox, Christina, Michelle and Tori.
