Lloyd Franklin Kepley, 85, of Lea Meadow Road, died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2006, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Center United Methodist Church by the Rev. Clay Morgan. A private burial will be held in the Church Cemetery.
Mr. Kepley was born April 13, 1921, in Davidson County to Roy Kepley and Ora Sowers Kepley. He was retired from Burlington Furniture and was a member of Center United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Glenn Kepley, Clyde Kepley and Ray Kepley; and one sister, Evelyn Kepley Phillips.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Gertha Key Kepley of the home, whom he married Nov. 18, 1944; one son, Larry Kepley and his wife, Donna, of Lexington; two daughters, Karen Allred and her husband, Roger, of Lexington and Betty Kepley of Welcome; five grandchildren, Angie Ward and her husband, Bill, of Denton, Amanda Leonard and her husband, Chip, Laurie Kepley and Adam Allred, all of Lexington, and Wesley Allred and his wife, Kristi, of Winston-Salem; four great-grandchildren, Eden Ward of Denton and Sara Benfield, Zeb Leonard and Lydia Leonard, all of Lexington; one brother-in-law, Perry Phillips of Lexington; and one sister-in-law, Ruby Kepley of Welcome.
The family will be at the home.
