Lloyd "Shorty" Junior Vanzant

Lloyd “Shorty” Junior Vanzant, 62, of Market Street, Lexington, died Saturday October 22, 2016, at the home of his daughter in Denton.   A memorial service will be held at a later date.   Mr. Vanzant was born November 2, 1953 in Rowan County to James Lloyd Vanzant and Lillie Belle Aldridge Vanzant. He was employed with Callicutt Realty as a contractor. His mother and father preceded him in death.   Surviving is his wife Shelia Easter Vanzant, of Lexington; two sons, Terry Vanzant of Lexington and James Vanzant and wife Hope of Georgia; four daughters, Bonnie Vanzant and spouse Samantha of Denton, Stephanie Vanzant of Pleasant Garden North Carolina, Wendy Snider and husband Chad of Denton, and Jessica Senkus of Lexington; three brothers, Roger Vanzant and wife Mary of Lexington, Ricky Vanzant and wife Susan of Lexington, and Tommy Vanzant and wife Joyce of Thomasville; three sisters, Elaine Vanzant of Lexington, Barbara Norris and husband Elbert of Lexington, and Charlene Foster of Lexington, and 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
