Lloyd Edward Weaver, age 88 of Alston Brook Nursing Home, formerly of Riverview Blvd., Lexington passed away Friday morning (May 14, 2010) at Alston Brook. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday (May 19, 2010) at Second Reformed United Church of Christ with Rev. Dr. Joe D. Coltrane officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Tuesday (May 18, 2010) from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and at other times at the home.
Lloyd was born in Davie County, June 29, 1921 to Charles Edward Weaver and Blanche Lloyd Weaver. He was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. He was a retried employee of Burlington Industries. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Kaye Lynn Leonard; four brothers, C. D. Weaver, Homer Weaver, Bobby Weaver and Ronnie Weaver and one sister, Kathleen Harper.
Surviving are; one daughter, Ruth Ann Newsome of Lexington; one son, Mark Weaver and wife Vickie of Lexington, six grandchildren, Todd Newsome, Kim Reavis, Tish Blanton, Eddie Shaw, Jody Shaw and Josh Weaver; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Lillian White, Georgia Seabolt and Guelda Tetter all of Lexington.
