Lois Irene Everhart Townsend

Lois Irene Everhart Townsend, 93, of Davidson County, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 11:00 AM, at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Danny Sams officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington.

Lois was born on September 18, 1930, to the late Grady Odell Everhart and Ellen Dora Beck Everhart. She worked for many years at Belk and was a member of Bethesda Church.

She enjoyed sewing, traveling, and cooking. One of her greatest passions was reading, especially mystery novels.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Townsend; brothers, Rondall Everhart, and Jimmy Everhart; sisters, Edna Mae Weisner, and Florence Kearns; sons in law, Ben Latham, and Danny Darnell; and grandson, Eddie “Tiger” Bates Jr.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Danny Townsend (Gail), of Lexington; daughters, Sylvia Darnell of Lexington, Kathy Troutman (David), of Lexington, and Susan Latham, of Southmont; brother, Charles Ray Everhart (Sue), of Lexington; sister, Brenda Flowers (David), of Lexington; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
