Lois Heitman

Lois Mae McDaniel Heitman, 84, of Hickory Point Drive, went to be with her Lord on Saturday at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after a brief illness. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 5, 2008 from the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Heitman was born June 5, 1924 in Davidson County to Floyd L. McDaniel and Roxie Money McDaniel. She retired from Dixie Furniture Company. She was a member of Sheets Memorial Baptist Church and the willing workers Sunday School Class. She also was involved with the senior citizens bowling league. Her husband, Ira H. (Mark) Heitman preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughters: Debbie Morris and husband, Steve, of Lexington and Wanda Stokes, and husband, Sonny, of Camden, SC; her brother, Archie McDaniel of Lexington; her grandchildren: Robbie Swicegood and wife Connie, Mindi Morris, Natalie Jeffcoat, and husband, Aaron, and Mark Stokes; and her great grandchildren: Brittney and Kaitlyn Swicegood and Lauren and Blake Jeffcoat. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 PM Tuesday prior to the service at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
