Lois Joan Bandy Laney, 72, of Cedar Drive, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Lexington Memorial Hospital after being in declining health for four months. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lexington City Cemetery by the Rev. Clyde Akers. Mrs. Laney was born in Pulaski, Va., on Sept. 15, 1934, to Charles Buck Tullock and Betty King Tullock. She was a retired hairdresser and attended Freedom Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Bartley B. Laney of the home; one son, Steven H. Burchette of Lexington; one brother, Tony Turner of Florida; and one grandson, Steven G. Burchette of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and other times at the home on Cedar Drive.
