Lois Beck Leonard

     Lois Beck Leonard, 87 formerly of Westover Drive passed away at 12:30 am Saturday December 27 at Carolina House of Lexington.      A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at First Reformed United Church of Christ with the Rev. Dr. Walter Patton officiating.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.      Mrs. Leonard was born on March 19, 1921 in Davidson County to Isaiah Beck and Mary Jane Burkhart Beck.  She was a graduate of Davis-Townsend High School and a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ.  She and her husband were the original owners and operators of Leonard Cleaners.  Preceding her in death were her son Donald Weston Leonard, Jr. who died in April 2008 and ten brothers and sisters.        Surviving are her husband of 67 years Donald “Don” Weston Leonard of the home; a daughter Rochelle Bost and husband Tom of Salisbury;  daughter-in-law Lynn Leonard of Gastonia; grandchildren, Kristy Leonard Edens and husband Fletcher of Hickory, NC Brittain Redcay Haney and husband Pat of Asheville, Brooke Redcay Via and husband Mike of Charlotte, Billy Weston Leonard and wife Sarah of Greenville, Kelly Leonard Goodman and husband Ben of Salisbury, Lindsay Bost Riggs and husband Eric of Cornelius, Allison Bost Tart and husband Jesse of Granite Quarry and Anna Bost Ostle and husband Chris of Rockwell;  great-grandchildren Weston and Reid Edens, Caroline Leonard, Sam Goodman, Chase Riggs, Mason Tart and Cameron Ostle        The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times at the home on Westover Drive.        In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to First Reformed United Church of Christ, 104 East Center Street, Lexington, NC 27292.    Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
