Lois Wilson Miller

Lois Dean Wilson Miller, 73, of Greensboro Street Ext. died Saturday, August 2, 2008 at her home after an illness of two years. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Fritts officiating. Burial will follow at Lexington City Cemetery. Mrs. Miller was born October 27, 1934 in Davidson County to Shirley Lindsey Wilson and Carrie Blanche Wilson. She was employed as secretary of Miller Paint Co. until her retirement in March. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Wilson, Beamer Wilson, and sisters, Juanita Wilson, Thelma Perry, and Doris Swicegood. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Harry Melvin Miller of the home, a daughter: Terri Miller and special friend Randy Smith of Arcadia; two sons: Mark Miller of the home, Alan Miller and wife Tammi all of Lexington; her grandchildren: Emily Brunk and husband Paul, Bethany Goodman and husband Scott, Adam & Grant Miller; and her great grandson: Tyler Goodman; and her sister-in-law, Becky Jones of Lexington, and a brother-in-law, Buck Tussey, a host of loving nieces & nephews, special family friends; Tate Zigar and Joey Cottingham. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday night at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s choice.
