Lola Jane Essick King

Lola “Jane” Essick King, 75, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at the Hinkle Hospice House.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. King was born in Davidson County on March 15, 1947, to Ulas Shaw Essick and Nomie Elizabeth Essick. She worked in the accounting department at Wake Forest University and was a member of Center United Methodist Church. Mrs. King was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Floyd “Tom” Thomas King; her daughter, Sandy Harris (Randy); a sister, Libby Michael; a granddaughter, Payton Jane Harris; four nephews, Duff Michael (Anna), Tony Michael (Rhonda), Chris Michael (Stacie), and Jody Michael (Jennifer); and a host of great nieces and nephews.
