Lola Cook Money, 83, of Bethesda Drive, died Monday, June 19, 2006, at her residence after an extended illness.
A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Revs. Karla V. Farabow and Danny B. Money.
Mrs. Money was born July 20, 1922, in Davidson County to Charles Ernest Cook and Winnie Conrad Cook. She retired from PPG and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bruce Money; two brothers, Rudolph Cook and Robert Cook; and three sisters, Mary Bailey, Dora Parks and Nell Musgrave.
Surviving are one son, Bob Money and his wife, Bonnie, of Lexington; four grandchildren, the Rev. Danny B. Money and his wife, Kimberly, of Winston-Salem, and Keith Money and his wife, Jamie, Donna Thomas and Carol Collins and her husband, William, all of Lexington; six great-grandchildren, Kaylee Money of Winston-Salem and Jason Thomas, Jennifer Thomas, Kirsten Collins, Adrienne Collins and Anna Money, all of Lexington; and two brothers, Ernest Cook and his wife, Betty, and John Cook and his wife, Golda, all of Lexington.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel, and other times at the home of the son on Bethesda Drive.
