HEADING NAME: Lonnie F. Grubb Lonnie Franklin Grubb, age 69, of Raymond Clodfelter Road, Lexington went to join the Heavenly choir on Monday morning. A celebration of his life will be held 12:00 pm Saturday, November 2, 2013 at New Friendship United Church of Christ with Revs. June Grubb, Butch Conrad and Pastor Alex Nance. The family will receive friends at the church Social Hall following the service. Lonnie was born in Davidson County October 3, 1944 to Willie James and Edna Arline Black Grubb. He was a retired employee of PPG after 39 years of service. He was a life member of American Legion Post 8 and a veteran of the US Army. He is survived by his wife; Opal Younts Grubb of the home; daughter, Hope Grubb Keene (Gerald) of Lexington; sons, Jason Grubb (Angie), Travis Grubb (Jennifer) all of Lexington; 8 grandchildren, Trevor, Jaycob, Cameron, Abigail, Kristina, Daniel, Bryson and Joshua; sister, Rev. June Marie Grubb of Lexington; brother, James Arlin Grubb (Carolyn) of Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to New Friendship United Church of Christ, for the Black Lake Project, 307 Turner Road, Lexington, NC 27292
