Lonnie Thomas Simerson

Lonnie Simerson, 75, of Jubilee Road, died Thursday December 28, 2017 at  The Kiser Hospice Home is Salisbury.   A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday at Smith Grove Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Terry Smith officiating services.   The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 pm Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.   Mr. Simerson was born May 14, 1942 in Davidson County to Bradford Thomas Simerson and Helen Shoaf Simerson. He wasemployed and retired from Packaging Corp.  after 41 years of service and was a member of the Army National Guard for six years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Ronnie Simerson.   Surviving is his wife, Violet  Spry Simerson; two sons; Scott Simerson and wife Vanessa and Mark Simerson and wife Lori, both of Linwood; one brother, James Simerson of Linwood; and 2 grandchildren, Nick Simerson and Nathan Simerson.   Memorials may be made to The Kiser Hospice Home  1229 Statesville Blvd. Salisbury NC 28144 or Smith Grove Baptist Church, General fund 3462 Sowers Road, Linwood NC 27299.
