Lorell Smith Myers, age 83, of New Highway 64 West, passed away Tuesday morning at Alston Brook.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at Sheets Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a member, conducted by Rev. Frankie Matthews. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday.
Lorell was born in Yadkin County, March 22, 1930 to Walter McKinley and Carlie Matthews Smith. She was a retired employee of Duracell. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Jackson “Jack” Myers; grandson, Jackson L. Shaw; brothers, Van Dee, Billy and Matthew Smith.
Surviving are her daughters; Libby Myers Swicegood (Keith), Gina Myers Shaw all of Lexington; grandchildren, Wil T. Shaw, Kendra Swicegood Herbert (Lyon), Kelly Swicegood Landen (Michael); great-granddaughter, Hailey Landen; sisters, Cora Palmer and Betty Bates both of Lexington, Barbara Bailey of Denver, NC; special sister-in-law, Jody Smith.
