Lorene Cole

Lorene McCord Cole, 85, of W. 2nd Ave., Lexington died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012 in Hinkle Hospice House. A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Lick Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Kelley Groce. There will be no public visitation. Ms. Cole was born October 16, 1926 in Greenwood, SC to John Thomas Logan McCord and Dempsey Dixon McCord. She was a manager for Diana Shop and later for Wise Fashions. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Her husband, Albert Brooks Cole, Sr., preceded her in death as well as her infant daughter, Moslyn Cole, and her brothers, John Thomas Logan McCord, Jr. and Olin McCord. Surviving are a son, A. Brooks Cole, Jr. and wife, Lynnette of Lexington; a granddaughter, Allison Cole of Lexington; and two sisters, Christine Galphin and Rita Boxx both of Greenwood, SC.
