Lorene Kinney James

Mattie Lorene Kinney James 79 of Thomasville passed away Monday June 11, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.   Lorene was born December 29, 1938 in Davidson County to Albert Walker Kinney and Alice Rose Crotts Kinney. She retired from Lexington Furniture Industries.   A funeral service will be 11:00 am Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel conducted by Pastor David Langley and burial to follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will see friends Wednesday from 6-8 pm at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home. Her parents, her husband, Gilbert Ray James and brothers, Ronald Dale Kinney and Jerry Wayne Kinney all prededed her in death.   Surviving are her daughter, Vickie James Lambeth of Thomasville. Her brothers, David Lee Kinney and Jimmy Kinney both of Lexington and sisters, Laura Ann Kepley, Shirley Lambe, Alice Dennis and Linda Montgomery all of Lexington.   The family would like to thank her special caregiver, Kelly Gobble.
