Lorene Wagoner Swicegood

Lorene Wagoner Swicegood, age 86, of Lexington passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Midway United Methodist Church Christian Fellowship Center conducted by Rev. Chuck Ireson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will visit with friends and family (outside) one hour prior to the service. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic social distancing and face masks are requested.

Mrs. Swicegood was born June 26, 1934 in Yadkin County to Richard Wagoner and Virginia Groce Wagoner.

Her parents, husband, William Roy Swicegood and her sister, Kathleen Rogers all preceded her in death. She retired as a sales clerk for Sears and was a faithful member of Midway United Methodist church, where she was involved in the Sunshine Club, TLC and was also a former Sunday School teacher.

Ones left to cherish her memory include her son, Michael Dwayne Swicegood (Avera) of Lexington; one granddaughter, Megan Swicegood Owens (Philip); two great-grandchildren, Brooklynn and Adalynn Owens; and a brother, Harold Wagoner (Doris) of Hamptonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County and/or Midway United Methodist Church.

Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is serving the family.
