Loretta Nance

Loretta Nance, age 85, of Roaring River, passed away on November 12, 2025.

Born on July 27, 1940, in Davidson County, Loretta was the daughter of the late Wayne and Geraldine Nance. She was a woman of quiet strength, deep love, and unwavering devotion to her family. Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit and the care she extended to everyone around her. She was employed by Fairgrove Family Resource Center and a member of Ronda Baptist Tabernacle. She loved playing the piano, especially for church.

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Darnell Nance; her son, Philip Nance; her brothers, Gary Nance and Spencer Nance; and her sister, Ellan Nance.

She is survived by her two grandchildren, Andrew Nance and wife Connie, and Derek Nance; her great-granddaughter, Pearl Nance; and her very special friend, Lisa Strickland, along with Lisa’s family, who held a meaningful place in Loretta’s life.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on November 21, 2025, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Josh Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.

Loretta will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
