Lorraine "Lee" Conley Clark

Lorraine "Lee" Conley Clark, 73, of Beck's Church Road, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007, at her home. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel by the Rev. Tim Miller. Mrs. Clark was born Jan. 30, 1934, in Yonkers, N.Y., to Charles Conley and Esther Ford Conley. She was employed with Thomasville Medical Center for 22 years serving in the emergency room and also the registration department. Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Ray Clark. Surviving are her mother of Nashua, N.H.; a son, Clifford Ray Clark Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Conway, S.C.; three daughters, Karen Bowers and her husband, Wayne, of Thomasville, Laura Leonard and her husband, Rick, of Lexington, and Charlene Core and her husband, Michael, of Wilmington; nine grandchildren, Joshua Bowers, Heather Bowers, Caleb Clark, Cameron Clark, Carson Clark, Calvin Clark, Carter Clark, Brittany Bean and Emma Leonard; a sister, Betty Klampka and her husband, Peter, of Nashua, N.H.; special people in her life, Christy, Blake, Erin, Phyllis, Kim and Angie; and a very good friend, Brenda. The family gives special thanks to the staff at Hospice of Davidson County, especially Lisa Leonard, and also the staff at Piedmont Home Care, especially Melody McDade. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, P.O. Box 1941, Lexington, NC 27293.
