Louis Wade Rucker

Louis Wade Rucker, age 77, passed away on December 16, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on September 26, 1946, in Montgomery, PA, to devoted parents Wade and Clara Rucker, both of whom preceded him in death.

Louis dedicated 37 years of his life to serving his country in the Air Force, contributing his skills and commitment until his well-deserved retirement. He also shared his passion for aviation as a Flight Instructor for Continental Airlines.

A man of faith, Louis was a proud member of Kingwood United Methodist Church, finding solace and community in his spiritual journey. His sense of duty extended beyond his military and professional career as he actively participated in the Patriot Riders organization, embodying the spirit of service and camaraderie.

Louis is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Rucker, who shared in his joys and sorrows throughout the years. He is also survived by his son, Brian Rucker (Valerie) of Mocksville, NC, and daughter, Christa Reavis (Richard), from Mocksville, NC as well as 2 grandchildren, Finley and Benjamin.

A funeral service to celebrate Louis' life will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to the service. Entombment to follow in the cemetery's mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be made in Louis' name to the charity of your choice.
