Louise Davis Cooper

  Louise Davis Cooper, age 86 of S. NC Highway 150, Lexington passed away Wednesday morning, May 10, 2017 at Lexington Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Churchland Baptist Church where she was a member with Rev. Robbie Stephens and Rev. Jerry Wilkes officiating. Burial will follow in the Davis Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service in the church fellowship hall and at other times at the home of her son. Louise was born in Davidson County January 1, 1931 to Hugh Wallace Davis and Marguerite Fitzgerald Davis. She was a retired teacher with Davidson County Schools. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Eugene “Red” Cooper in 2008; daughter, Gloria McBride in 2001 and sisters, Jackie Barnes and Mary Helen Lord. Surviving are her daughter, Rita Caudle (Lee) of Lexington; son, Earl Cooper (Tina) of Linwood; grandchildren, Lori and Eric Caudle; brother, H.W. Davis of Lexington and numerous nieces and nephews.
