Louise Thomason Crotts

Louise Thomason Crotts, 83, of Atlantic, N.C., formerly of Lexington, died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Taylor Extended Care Facility in Sea Level. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by Dr. Billy Joe Leonard. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Mrs. Crotts was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Robeson County to Hampton Wade Norton and Eva Smith Norton. She was a retired employee of Wennonah Mill and a member of Second United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Luther Thomason, who died Jan. 9, 1972. Surviving are a son, Dennis D. Thomason and his wife, Phyllis, of Atlantic; a stepdaughter, Evelyn Leonard of Lexington; two stepgrandchildren, Barry Hanes and his wife, Marlene, and Karen Workman and her husband, Tony; four great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; a half brother, Cecil Norton of Conway, S.C.; and a half sister, Lois Griggs of Chesterfield, S.C. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Monday at the funeral home.
