Louise Fisher

Thelma Louise Fisher, age 87 of Lexington Health Care, formerly of Allred Road, Lexington died Sunday morning in Lexington Health Care. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday at Memorial United Church of Christ with Rev. Don Leonard officiating, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. Louise was born in Rowan County, March 21, 1920 to Claude Arthur Fisher and Clatie Mae Bowers Fisher. She worked as a cook at the YMCA and later retired from the Dutch Club. She was a member of Memorial United Church of Christ, past member of the choir and the Women’s Guild. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Bryce Fisher. Surviving are: sister in law; Ruth Briggs Fisher of Norfolk, VA, nephews; Stephen Fisher of Cambridge, Mass, Robert Fisher of New York City, N.Y., and Alan Fisher of Richmond, VA. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 until 7:00 pm at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington.
