Louise Cable Jones

Louise Cable Jones 90, of River Landing at Sandy Ridge, Colfax, N.C. and formerly of Ralph Miller Road passed away Tuesday afternoon. A private family service will be held at Midway United Methodist Church cemetery where she was a member with Rev. Paul Titus officiating. A public memorial service will be held November 27th at 4:00 p.m. at Midway United Methodist Church. Louise was born December 12, 1920 in Guilford County, to Lacy and Nellie Williams Cable, after her mother’s death when Louise was a young child, she was raised by her foster parents, Aunt Daisy and Uncle Ross Williams. She was a retired teacher for Davidson County Schools and also was co-owner of Jones Shoe Center in Midway. She was married to G.E. “Dick” Jones who preceded her in death on May 30, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are: sons, Robin Jones, and Sam Jones and wife Kathy both of Lexington; daughters, Anne Allred and husband Steve of Winston-Salem, N.C. and Jennifer Owens of Lexington; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
