Lora Louise Leonard Odom, 77, of Abbid Street, died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at the home of her daughter, after two years of declining health.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Thomasville Church of God, where she was a member, by the Revs. Ken Barnett and David Hatcher. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Odom was born in Davidson County on September 7, 1929, to Julius Paul Leonard and Lula Mae Morrison Leonard. She was a member of the Class 10 Sunday School at her church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Dorothy Leonard Everhart.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Dennis Dayton Odom; son, Eddie D. Odom and wife, Sandra; daughters, Vickie O. Powell and husband, Dan; Judy O. Fleenor and husband, Wayne; and a stepson, Steven Dale Odom and wife, Becky; eight grandchildren, Steven Dale Odom Jr. and wife, Carol, Ronda Harlow and husband, Jay, Michael Odom and wife, Gina, Delaina Carter and husband, Monty, David Rumfelt II and wife, La’La, Heath Rumfelt and wife, Wendy, all of Lexington, and Chris Powell and wife, Valerie, of Greenville, S.C.; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Olin Leonard and wife, Peggy; and a brother-in-law, Alvin Everhart.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of the daughter, Judy Fleenor, on Clearfield Drive.
