Louise Smith

October 7, 1925 — June 10, 2017

Daphne Louise Michael Smith died at Abbotts Creek on June 10, 2017, in Lexington, of natural causes and a prolonged diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease. She was 92.   Mrs. Smith will be buried at Forest Hill Memorial Park after a memorial service at Davidson Funeral Home on Friday, June 16th at 11:00. Visitation services will be at Davidson Funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Louise’s life.   Louise was born on October 07, 1925, in Lexington, NC, to her parents, Vallie Savannah and Ernest Michael. She graduated from Lexington High School and Ashemore Business College. She married John Carl “Bear” Smith on November 17, 1946. They had one child, Becky Smith Bradham of Lexington, NC and Savannah, GA and one grandson, Linc Bradham, of Savannah, GA and Washington, DC. Mrs. Smith worked for 35 years at PPG Industries in the Accounting and Scheduling departments. She retired in the early 1990’s to spend more time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, John, her sisters, Jonnie Kinney and Pauline Regan; and her brothers, Roy Michael, Connie Michael and Rayvon Michael.    Louise is survived by her daughter, Becky; grandson, Linc; sister, Geraldine Eastham of Concord; and brother, Jimmy Michael of Virginia.   Donations to the Alzheimer’s association are welcomed in lieu of flowers should you choose.
