Thelma Louise Stepp, 79 of Jackson Avenue passed away early Wednesday (6-17-2015) in Hinkle Hospice House after several years of declining health. A funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday (6-20-2015) in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Doug McGee. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will see friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday (6-19-2015) at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of her granddaughter, 573 Tom Everhart Road. Louise was born in Burke County, on November 4, 1935 to Leroy King and Ollie Mae Icard King. She was the retired owner of Charm Beauty Shop. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Douglas Allen Stepp, daughter in law Janice Stepp, brother Karroll King and sister Gaynell Spann. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Clayton Douglas Stepp of the home; grandson Jeremy Shawn Stepp of Lexington; granddaughter Rheanna Doree Stepp ( John Helmstetler) of Lexington; brothers Herman King (Peggy) of Connelly Springs NC and Julian King of Lenior NC; and special nieces and nephews, Revonda Gibson (Robbie) of Lexington, Darlene Conklin of Longview NC, Karen Detter (Mike) of Maiden NC, Shannon King (Regina) of Hildebran NC, Tim King (Lisa) of Morganton NC, and Scott King of Conover NC; sister in laws, Jenny Seay and Gladys Frizzell of Rutherfordton NC and Gleneva Warren of Canton NC and her first great-grandchild expected in January 2016. In lieu of flowers memorials may directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
