Lovis Kidd

Lovis Hunt Kidd, 69, a resident of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 in Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Lovis was born in McDowell County, West Virginia on January 5, 1954 to the late Elzie and Exonia Hunt. She worked for Lexington Furniture Industries for many years. On November 27, 1982 she married Johnny Ray Kidd. Lovis enjoyed shopping and she never met a child she didn’t instantly love. However, spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She was a loving wife, aunt, sister, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Asbury and Carl Douglas Stanley.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, February 10, 2023 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Interment will immediately follow the service in Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 40 years, Johnny Kidd of the home; special nieces, Jessica Kidd of Lexington and Chasiti Kidd of Lexington; great niece, Charleigh; great-nephews, Samuel, Chandler, Mason, and Lucas; special friend, Teresa Webb of Lexington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
