Lucille Sowers Ball

Ellen Lucille Sowers Ball, 87, of Bethesda Road, died Sunday, February 8, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House following a short two week illness. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Beulah United Church of Christ Cemetery with the Rev. Trudy Irving officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends following the service at the Church fellowship hall. Mrs. Ball was born August 10, 1927, in Davidson County, to Henry Calvin Sowers and Ora Mae Everhart Sowers. She was a 1944 graduate of Welcome High School; a homemaker and member of Beulah United Church of Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brother, Charles Don Sowers; sister, Joan Frank; and granddaughter, Kimberly Lackey McDaniel. Surviving are her husband, Junior Ellree Ball of the home; son, Ricky Ball of the home; daughter, Judy Lackey of Lexington; grandchildren, Steve Ball and Andrew Ball; great-grandchildren, Kristin McDaniel, Ashton Ball, and Conner Ball.
