Lucille Black Beck, of East Old Highway 64, died Monday, August 05, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
The funeral will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at Hedrick’s Grove United Church of Christ with the Rev. William Sowers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service and other times at the home of her son, Eddy Beck, on Darr Place in Lexington
Mrs. Beck was born in Davidson County, to Yancey Lee Black and Ada Mae Hedrick Black. She was a lifelong member of Hedrick’s Grove United Church of Christ. Over the years she had been a member of the Ladies Bible Class, Choir and the Church Women’s Guild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Cromer Edgar Beck, who died January of 1997; brother, Donald Black; and sisters, Reba B. Beck, Arteal B. Whitlock and Majel B. Beck.
Surviving are her devoted children, Eddy Lynn Beck and wife Nell, Cromer Lee Beck and Lucy Beck Sink and husband Dale, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Steven Sink and wife Paula, Michael Beck and wife Lori, Mark Sink and wife Karrie; great-grandchildren, Kaeli Sink, Evan Sink, Colson Sink, Caroline Beck, Sarah Sink, Josh Sink, and Lauryn Sink; and sister-in-law, Maxine Black.
