Lucille Bridges

Billie Lucille Falls Bridges, age 89, of Lexington passed away Friday, November 4, 2016 at Lexington Medical Center.   A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Reeds United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barry Queen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   The family will see friends following the service in the fellowship hall.   Mrs. Bridges was born in Kings Mountain, NC on June 9, 1927 to Marion Chalmers Falls and Caroline Ruth Long Falls. She was a member of Reeds United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters.   Surviving are her loving husband of 71 years, Thomas Edward Bridges of the home; two sons, Eddie Bridges and wife Linda of Roxboro, NC and Larry Bridges and wife Patsy of Winston Salem, NC; a daughter, Betty Bridges Essick of Lexington, NC; a brother, Clyde Eugene Falls of Baltimore, MD; a sister, Norma Falls Bridges of Kings Mountain, NC; 6 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.   Memorials may be directed to Reeds United Methodist Church at 4731 W Old US Hwy 64 Lexington, NC 27295.
