Lucille Koonts Eaton

Lucille Koontz Eaton, age 86, of Feezor Road Lexington passed away Wednesday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family after a four month illness.   Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy Hepler officiating.  Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday night and at other times at the home.   Lucille was born in Davidson County to Luther and Glenna Weaver Koonts. She retired after 24 years of perfect attendance as a housekeeper for Lexington Memorial Hospital. She attended Leonard Road Baptist Church; during her four month illness her caregivers where her daughter of the home and daughter-in-law Donna Eaton and the loving people of Hospice of Davidson County. was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde Eaton on January 5, 2008; her first born child who died after 28 days, Ronald Wayne Eaton.   Surviving are her daughters; Susan Diane Stout of Lexington; Brenda Kaye Schreader and husband Bill of Baldwin, FL; sons, Roger Dale Eaton and wife Teresa of Jacksonville, FL Ronald Dean Eaton and wife Donna of Lexington; step-sons, James Sherwood Eaton and wife Jayne of Greensboro; Robert Lee Eaton of Trinity; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Louise May Byerly of Thomasville; sister-in-law, Vera Macemore of Lexington.   Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC  27292   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
