Lucille Carter Everhart

October 13, 1925 — May 11, 2019

Mamie Lucille Carter Everhart, 93, of Easter Road, Lexington, died Saturday, May 11 at Abbotts Creek Center in Lexington.    A graveside service will be held at  11 am Tuesday, May 14 at Forest Hill Memorial Park, by the Revs. Gary Myers and Barry Queen.        The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday at Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel and other times at the home of her daughter, Joyce Myers on Hunter Road, Lexington.   Mrs. Everhart was born October 13, 1925 in Davidson County to Lester Lee Carter, Sr. and Zula Everhart Carter.  She retired from Edgewood Apparel and was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.  Her husband, Thomas Wood Everhart; her son, Thomas Allen Everhart; her brothers, Lester Carter, Jr. and Alvin Thomason; her sisters, Pearlie Mae Lee and Maxine Stokes; and her great grandson, Benjamin Walker, preceded her in death.    She is survived by her daughters, Karen Walker (Jerry) of Clemmons and Joyce Myers (Gary) of Midway; her daughter in law, Libby Everhart of Midway; her sister in law, Mae Bailey; her grandchildren, Leigh Hyatt, Dr. Robert Walker, Jason Everhart, Misty Norris, Beth Hair, and Josh Myers; 13 great grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 1087 Leonard Rd, Lexington NC 27295 or to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Road, High Point NC 27262.
