Lucille Walker Fletcher, 91, of Waterbury Place, died Friday, August 17, 2012, at Hinkle Hospice House.
The funeral will be 2 P.M. Monday, August 20, 2012, at Coggins Memorial Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Revs. Lewis Johns and Chris Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mrs. Fletcher was born April 14, 1921, in Watauga County, to John Wiley Walker and Nannie Eblen Walker. She was retired from PPG Industries. At her church she was a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Bible study group. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Leonard Fletcher; and sons, James Leonard Fletcher Jr., Robert Clint Fletcher and Paul Walter Fletcher.
Surviving are sons, Ray Fletcher and special companion Judy Little, Curtis Fletcher and wife Carolyn, Gary Lee Fletcher and wife Cindy, all of Lexington; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Elmer Walker of North Wilkesboro; and sisters, Mary Cain of Boomer and Francie Higgins of North Wilkesboro.
