Lucille Fowler Franklin

Lucille Fowler Franklin, age 81 of Alston Brook Rest Home and Retirement Center formerly of Garland Drive, Lexington died Friday in Alston Brook Rest Home and Retirement Center after several years of declining health. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL with Rev Wayne Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Franklin was born September 6, 1926 in McDowell County, WV to Fred Fowler and Lonie Hash Fowler. A member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, she was a retired employee of Dixie Furniture. Her husband, James William Franklin, Jr., preceded her in death. Surviving is a son, Freddie Frankin and wife, Teena of Lexington; a daughter, Crystal McDaniel and fiance, Robert Griffin of Lexington; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Frankie Fowler and wife, Christine of Mocksville, J.D. Fowler, James Fowler and wife, Betty all of Lexington three sisters, Juanita Dillon of West Virginia, Mary Sue Fowler and husband, George, and Christine Fowler all of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, March 17, 2008 and other times at the home of the daughter on Garland Drive, Lexington.
