Lucille Jarrett Beck, 86, of East Old Highway 64, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Health – Lexington Medical Center, following an extended illness.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015, at Memorial United Church of Christ, where she was a member, with the Rev. William Sowers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mrs. Beck was born August 4, 1928, in Davidson County, to Lacie Kinney Jarrett and Mary Etta Fritts Jarrett. She was retired school teacher from Silver Valley Elementary School. At her church she was the financial secretary for over 50 years. She enjoyed traveling especially taking trips with the church and her friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Woodrow Beck; and a sister, Margaret Irene Jarrett.
Surviving are sons, Richard Glenn Beck and wife Robin, Jeffrey Beck and wife Janet, all of Lexington, and Kevin Beck and wife Susan of Thomasville; daughter, Kathryn Beck Thomason and husband Jimmy of Lexington; grandchildren, Heather Warner and husband Billy, Jeremy Beck and wife Amanda, Justin Beck and wife Melissa, Colton Beck, Jaime Stafford and wife Lauren, Greg Harris and wife Rebecca, and Jennifer Harris; and great grandchildren, Peyton Warner, Elle Warner, Abbie Beck, Kaleb Beck, Graci Gibbs, Jessica Ryan, Makenzie Gordon, Ty Gordon, Jackie Stafford, Nathan Stafford, Lilly Harris and Grace Harris.
