LuCinda Biesecker Thompson, 65, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 30, 2021, at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, May 6, 2021, in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Rev. Darren Everhart officiating and will be streamed live at www.facebook.com/davidson.funeralhome/

Burial will follow in the Lexington City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm on Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of the daughter on Becks Nursery Road.

Mrs. Thompson was born in Davidson County on January 26, 1956, to Robert Guy Biesecker and Betty George Jordan. She was a member of Christ United Church of Christ and was retired from Lexington Health Care and also worked with Frank IX and Son. Mrs. Thompson was a devoted member of Christ Church and served in the choir and on numerous committees. She had an infectious personality and a true love for all people; however, the love of her life was her daughter and her family. LuCinda was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Danny Sylvester Thompson.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Amanda Thompson Davis (Will) of Lexington; two sisters, Debbie Scates (Roy) and Lisa Hilliard (Wayne) all of Lexington; a nephew, Chris Scates (Rena); two nieces, Jamie Koontz (Chris) and Maria Hilliard; a great-niece, Zoie Ryan Scates; two great-nephews, Hunter & Connor Koontz;  two sister in-laws, Kelley Goldsmith (David) of Illinois and Kim Thompson of Lexington; her father in-law, Bill Thompson of Lexington; and a special friend, Bill Weaver of Lexington. Also surviving is her canine companion, Niko.
