Lucy Louya

Lucy Charles Louya, 83, of Mt. Vista Health Park, formerly of Yadkin College Road, Lexington, died Wednesday, September 09, 2009, at the nursing center. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, September 12 at the Yadkin College Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Jay Belk. Mrs. Louya was born March 13, 1926, in Davidson County, to Thomas Roscoe Charles and Gurla Broadway Charles. She was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul John Louya. Surviving are her daughters, Brenda Karakowski and Ann Schurmann, both of Lexington; her grandchildren, Tracie Hayes, Lori Gregg, Denise Barnhardt, and T.J. Karakowski; her great grandchildren, Lindsey Gregg, Rebekah Gregg, Caleb Barnhardt, Taylor Barnhardt and Jacob Hayes; her brother, Thomas Charles of Lexington; and sister, Cornelia Allen of Mocksville.
